An Evening of Art with Heart

Wednesday evening this week saw us blast-off the ninth of our annual charity art shows; Art with heart. This year more than 50 artists generously donated their work to raise much needed funds for Worowa Aboriginal College.

Over the last nine years Art with heart has raised more than $150,000 for local charities including the St Vinnies Soup Van, Melbourne Citymission’s Breakfast Club and the Lighthouse Foundation. This year was a little different and we were all stoked to be raising money for education with an artistic link as some of the talented students from Worowa contributed artwork to the show.

On the night the studio transformed into a gallery where we welcomed more than 180 folks who enjoyed perusing the stunning art, sipping the delightful Brown Brothers wine and downing the delicious catering, including gelati from our good friends at Gelati Sky. The bidding for the paintings was exuberant with more than 50 sold on the night as the crowd dug deep, polishing-off a bunch of mystery envelopes and silent auction items.

We look forward to selling the remaining pieces of art over the next month and writing a big juicy cheque for the wonderful people at Worowa.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to our generous sponsors who donate good and services in support of the event year after year – we couldn’t work our magic without them.
Thanks to all involved for making the ninth Art with Heart such a huge success.
