Our People

The Truly Deeply team comprises complimentary experts who are each leaders of their field in brand strategy, brand design, marketing and communications. Our people are ‘T shaped’ with a broad, commercial understanding of brand combined with a depth of experience and skill in their particular area of expertise. The Truly Deeply team is highly experienced, stacked with senior staff who know their stuff and are confident in directing projects and making the tough decisions required to ensure the best outcomes.

Truly Deeply is led by its two founders; David Ansett and Peter Singline.

David Ansett
Creator of Brands

David Ansett is a co-founder and Creator of Brands at Truly Deeply Brand Consultants. He has advised and continues to work with many of Australia’s leading public and private organizations on brand identity and communication related matters.
David brings more than twenty years of knowledge and expertise in leading large and complex branding programmes in a wide range of market sectors including professional services, government, property, retail and not-for-profit.
David has worked with The ANZ bank, Australia Post, Mercedes-Benz, Wizard, Lend Lease’s Darling Quarter, Becton, Chemmart Pharmacies, Eyre Peninsula, Australia’s Seafood Frontier, Over Fifty Group, Spudbar, Gelati Sky, and Wolf in the Kitchen.
Truly Deeply regularly wins both Australian and International design awards and over the past two years have been published in more than a dozen international design publication.
David has judged a host of design awards and regularly speaks in Australia and Internationally on matters of design and brand. David has lectured in design studies at the Swinburne National School of Design and written on the subject of brand design for marketing publications and on-line brand and design sites around the globe.
David has published the research report; Global Trends in the Visual Language of Brands. The report and excerpts from it have been re-published across North America, Europe and Asia in both the mainstream and on-line press.
David is the primary contributor to the Truly Deeply brand and design blog (www.trulydeeply.com.au/madly) which attracts more than 100,000 unique visitors each year. His Twitter account
(@Brandamentalist) tweets brand and design content each day and has over 9,000 followers at last count.
This online profile has been reflected by being judged by several sources as one of the world’s most influential online contributors in the brand and design space.

Peter Singline
Brand Scientist

Peter Singline is a co-founder and lead Brand Scientist at Truly Deeply Brand Consultants. He has advised and continues to work with many of Australia’s leading public and private organizations on brand strategy and communication related matters.
Marketing, brand strategy and working with teams has been the common thread running through Peter’s diverse career. He brings an excellent understanding of marketing, branding and strategic theory gained from his formal studies (B.Ec, MBA (Dux)) and his work as an academic in the early 90’s teaching Monash University MBA students Marketing and Strategic Marketing.
His career has also afforded ample opportunities to apply his marketing and branding knowledge first hand. In addition to consulting Peter has also spent three years as General Manager Marketing for Coles Myer’s Financial Services Company and five years as Managing Director and partner in a speciality retail group.
A large proportion of his time is spent developing Brand Charters for clients to ensure there are blueprints in place for driving all key organisational decisions pertaining to brands.
He has developed Brand Charters for a diverse range of brands that include the NRMA, King Island Dairy, Eyre Peninsula, Brown Brothers, Griffith University, Melbourne Business School, Greenpeace, Delfin Lendlease, Transurban/CityLink, Chemmart, Essendon Football Club and Becton.
Peter established Brand DNA in 2000 and in 2006 merged with design agency Storm – which in turn morphed into the creative brand design agency Truly Deeply in 2010. As a brand design agency Truly Deeply’s skill set bridges brand thinking, brand identity and breathing life into a brand…and in this regard Peter brings lots of oxygen to the game!
