Truly Deeply/Madly

Wednes­day evening this week saw us blast-off the ninth of our annual char­ity art shows; Art with heart. This year more than 50 artists gen­er­ously donated their work to raise much needed funds for Worowa Abo­rig­i­nal Col­lege.

Over the last nine years Art with heart has raised more than $150,000 for local char­i­ties includ­ing the St Vin­nies Soup Van, Mel­bourne Citymission’s Break­fast Club and the Light­house Foun­da­tion. This year was a lit­tle dif­fer­ent and we were all stoked to be rais­ing money for edu­ca­tion with an artis­tic link as some of the tal­ented stu­dents from Worowa con­tributed art­work to the show.

On the night the stu­dio trans­formed into a gallery where we wel­comed more than 180 folks who enjoyed perus­ing the stun­ning art, sip­ping the delight­ful Brown Broth­ers wine and down­ing the deli­cious cater­ing, includ­ing gelati from our good friends at Gelati Sky. The bid­ding for the paint­ings was exu­ber­ant with more than 50 sold on the night as the crowd dug deep, polishing-off a bunch of mys­tery envelopes and silent auc­tion items.

We look for­ward to sell­ing the remain­ing pieces of art over the next month and writ­ing a big juicy cheque for the won­der­ful peo­ple at Worowa.
