Capturing the Brand Essence of Travel.
DDB Paris created this outstanding, fun ‘Escape Machine’ brand experience for travel company Voyages.
A giant black cube appeared in Palais Royal Square, Paris, inviting onlookers to engage. When an intrepid punter approached the cube asked where in the world they’d like to travel. The response from the machine is truly memorable — delivering a brand experience of the highest order.
The brand communication delivered so artfully by this memorable brand gesture is that the Voyages’ Escape Service can take you to any destination you desire.

I saw this awhile ago and it certainly has cemented a place in my creative mind as a memorable brand gesture. Its a lot of fun!
Thanks Anne, not only is this brand gesture memorable and looks like alot of fun — it is engagingly on-brand. A wonderful piece of whimsy.
That’s just so brilliant and has to be one of the most memorable brand gestures going around. They way the whole experience engages not only the individual pushing the button but the gathering is superb – the expressions on everyone’s faces tells the story perfectly. Where would I go? New York!
Thanks Andrew. I was pretty blown away when I came across this too. As brand experiences go — it’s a ripper. I’d be interested to see how they integrated this activity into the online and traditional marketing spaces.
Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for rookie blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
Hi Abigail, with a blog it’s all about great content. Pick something you’re passionate about and publish everything you can. Good Luck.
