branding agency

retail brandagencyPlain Packaging will inspire more creative approach
Australia’s plain packaging law has now been passed in the Senate. It is an attempt to snuff out one of the last remaining brand building properties owned by the cigarette companies. But, far from being another step toward killing the tobacco brands, it may just inspire a more creative approach to delivering the brand.

As a creative brand agency, we often see the world through a brand coloured lens, where clients see restrictions, we see opportunities to stand-out from the competitive pack. Truly Deeply’s Director of Brand Strategy, Michael Hughes provides our perspective today for Australian marketing and advertising journal B&T. You can read the article here.

Deck the Halls with Branded Beach Towels
Australian newspaper ‘The Age’ recently published an article on Corporate Gift Giving in their Executive Style lift-out in time for Christmas. For most companies, this gesture of Christmas giving for staff and for clients tends to follow an age-old path of logos on golf towels. As an expensive exercise, the opportunity to create indelible brand gestures at this time of year is often missed. The Age asked Truly Deeply Founder David Ansett for his perspective on this seasonal sticky question.

You can check the article written by Sylvia Pennington on-line here: Merry Christmas here’s an iPad.

Whilst we’re proud as punch that Dave’s engaging with the burgeoning business community in India, we wonder whether it’s merely coincidence that the Cricket World Cup will be in town at the same time.

An International Guide to Contemporary Packaging Design
As the book says; ‘Packaging is a highly underrated art form. As the first thing a consumer sees when looking at a product, the packaging can make or break a sale’. Every year, the Pentawards celebrate the art of the package by presenting awards to the very best packaging designs from around the world. Designers compete in five main categories—beverages, food, body, luxury, and other markets.

Speaker brand strategy

Truly Deeply Founder and Creative Director David Ansett is headlining the Global Brand Management & Innovation Conference in Singapore next month (well he’ll be there speaking at any rate).

Given the advent of social media platforms and global competition, the thrust of the Global Brand Management & Innovation conference will be on emerging global opportunities brought about by changes in communication platforms, global economies and consumers’ taste, preferences and choices. The conference for brand and marketing professionals across the Asia Pacific region will explore how innovations can be powerful in re-inventing one’s brand to increase business performance. Join us this November and share unique lessons learned upon professional marketing experiences by top brands in the Asia Pacific.

David will join a panel of brand managers, strategists and creatives from the region. He’ll be presenting on global trends in visual brand language and will join a panel discussion on the changing role of advertising and promotions in the brand building process.

Request.Response.Reaction. The designers of Australia and New Zealand
The influence of the designers in Request.Response.Reaction is as international as it is regional. Celebrating 20 years of AGIdeas
I always say you can judge the quality of a design book by how heavy it is (oh, and whether it features us and our work too). ‘Design is Difference’ is a retrospective of the 20 year history of agIdeas, it showcases more than 2,000 works of over 400 design and creative leaders who have presented at agIdeas International Design Week throughout its 20 year history. Including creative luminaries such as Stefan Sagmiester, Paula Scher, Massimo Vignelli, Alan Fletcher, Shigeo Fukuda and representatives from global design studios like Pixar, Dreamworks, Frog Design, Pentagram and of course little old us — Truly Deeply the brand strategy and communications design agency. This book is the epitome of ‘design is difference’, the differences within design and that design can make — sounds pretty serious — looks seriously impressive.
