Footware brand adidas spend more time than most thinking outside the box. And in this case the box is their take on the classic kids party game, the pinata. Teaming-up with sports shoe retailer Footlocker, adidas has put together an online campaign – integrating video and Facebook – to build awareness around the launch of their new range of Ciero skate sneakers.

May the Force of Brand Association be with You.
Brand association with movies is nothing new, but it seems the allure of the Star Wars film franchise just never gets tired. Sports and fashion shoe brand adidas are today launching the latest range of kicks and apparel from adidas Originals and Star Wars. I’m not sure whether Star Wars is lending adidas the cred, or whether it’s the other way around, but in a semi-dorky, sci-fi, eighties kind of chic way, the whole brand partnership works for me.  The new range is in adidas Originals stores and Hype DC, nationally from today. Your Shoe will be the game Controller
adidas Originals is launching the first Augmented Reality experience in footwear. The adidas Originals AR Game Pack is a set of 5 shoes, each printed with an AR code on the tongue. When you hold the code in front of your webcam, you’ll gain access to a virtual version of the adidas Originals Neighborhood. Each month between February and April, they’ll launch a new interactive game within the Neighborhood and your shoe will be the game controller. The experience launches next week on February 10th at http://www.adidas.com/originals
