Innovative packaging design for organic cleaning products

reSparkle Bottles

Australian made and owned, reSparkle is Australia’s first range of cleaning products that are 100% natural, safe and chemical free. reSparkle was founded on the belief that ‘going green’ shouldn’t mean that you should have to compromise on cleaning quality.

reSparkle challenges us to rethink the way we purchase cleaning products. Traditionally, the liquid inside the bottle is made up of 5% detergent and 95% water and plastic. Imagine a world where you could buy only the 5% that matters. Surely this would lead to cost savings as well as a reduction in packaging wastage?

The team at reSparkle certainly thought so, and as a result, have created the reSparkle refill pod. Full of cleaning concentrate, which when mixed with water in a reSparkle bottle is as potent and natural cleaner. By reusing the bottle, refilling with the little pod, customers are helping to reduce the amount of waste produced and doing their part to ‘reSparkle the world’.

Resparkle BeforeChallenge
reSparkle had strong product differentiation as well as a clever concept of a refillable bottle but they were struggling to cut through and gain shelf space.

The previous packaging was not appealing to the target audience and the design did not play to their environmental strengths. We needed to create a more credible, differentiated and premium packaging solution.

Design solution
“From the outset it was clear that we needed to develop a really clean, simple and honest visual language for the packaging. Something that placed the products at a premium but still clearly displayed their environmental credentials,” says Derek Carroll, Creative Director and partner, Truly Deeply.

Using a strong primary colour palette, with plenty of white space, we achieved a clean and efficient, premium product look and feel,” added Carroll.

Deliverables
Truly Deeply provided a completely new approach to the packaging and design of the bottle and refill.

Results
“I approached Truly Deeply for an emergency brand packaging overhaul. They not only delivered within the tight timeline but completely nailed the brand image I was after,” said Pearl Chan, Founder, reSparkle.

The new packaging has played a vital role in helping reSparkle stand out, as well as gain new interest from retailers and customers. “reSparkle is about being different so it makes sense that our packaging reflects that. I am very impressed with the team’s passion and talent,” added Chan.
