Art from the heart
Eight years ago we sat down as a business to discuss how we might combine doing something good for our local community with continuing to build our brand as one of Australia’s most interesting creative brand agency. The brand gesture we crated from our ruminations was Art with Heart; an annual charity art show that would not only display our creative talent and raise money for a worthy local charity, but also an opportunity to connect with our clients in a memorable way through an event rich with emotion, passion and social conscience.

Eight years of Art with Heart
This week’s show was our eighth, and each year the event has raised the bar. From our humble beginnings we now show work from more than forty contemporary Australian artists from the well known to the unknown. We transform our studio into a venue bursting with art and more than 150 people for the evening, and for the first time this year put the entire show on-line.

Making it Possible
Thanks to a bunch of long term sponsors such as Brown Brothers, 3M, Gelati Sky, Grapevine PR and Corporate Express, as well as the generosity of the donating artists, we have raised over $100,000 for seven local charities to-date. This year we hope to raise another $20,000 for Melbourne Citymission’s Breakfast Club, to enable them to provide breakfast in schools to even more kids who’s family’s can’t afford it.

With a mix of art, wine, food, great company and a worthy cause, it’s no surprise the night was a huge hit. They say people work with people they enjoy working with. Apart from providing our clients with a powerful reason to enjoy working with us, the Art with Heart evenings are a fixture on many social calenders. Thanks to all who helped put the event together, and those who came along and bid with great enthusiasm to help us to raise funds. For anyone who missed the boat, there are still some paintings left available for purchase through the web site – so get on and help us give the kids a healthy start to their school day.

If you’d like to have a chat with us about how social responsibility can also help you build a powerful brand, give us a hoy.

Dave.

  1. Thanks Ben, The night was a ripper. We had around 150 people and sold around 40 pieces raising more than $20k for the charity: Breakfast Club. There are still more than 40 pieces of work available – check ’em out, they’re selling at reserve which is a great price for these pieces.
