It is the charter of all brands to discover the ‘extraordinary’ in order to stand-out from their market. When the channel provides restrictions – such as the digital world – the challenge for brands becomes pointier still. New York based photographers Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg have come up with what I think is one of the hottest properties in digital right now – these animated, photographic GIFs they call ‘Cinemagraphs’
By bringing imagery to life through elegant, subtle movement such as e an earring swaying or a lock of hair flitting in the breeze these stunning images capture a moment suspended in time with an evocative power still images just can’t. For many brands this technology represents an opportunity to heighten the connection between the visual language of their brands and their consumers. And what brand couldn’t do with a little more beauty and wonder?
