Creating Tough Acts to Follow
When you already have a reputation for creating amazingly memorable TV campaigns of beauty what on earth do you do next? In the case of Sony’s upcoming campaign for their new 4KTV the answer is to blanket an entire Costa Rican village with eight million flower petals.
Sony’s new TVs promise four times the detail of the current HD technology – something worth creating a stir about. Each one of the 3.5 tons of petals dropped on the village represents an individual pixel on the new televisions. The production team hand-picked the most vibrant flowers they could find in the region near the Irazú Volcano – located in central Costa Rica.
The behind the scenes clip below gives you a sneak peek at the vibrancy and scale of the shoot – a ripping example of big integrated branding.
