Austbrokers Holdings Ltd is a diversified and vertically integrated company operating across the full spectrum of risk management and insurance. We were engaged by Austbrokers to re-frame their brand to align with the vision of the business and communicate that vision to business partners, their clients and the investment community. This annual report was the first time the business communicated with their shareholders using the new brand visual language.
Austbrokers Holdings had recently diversified and expanded into new business areas and needed to clearly communicate this to shareholders. They also wanted to present a unified and compelling brand direction across all business units, which included the key theme of operating ‘ahead of the curve’, and that people and relationships were a central part of the business.
The visual language developed uses strong intriguing photographic metaphors that speak of a sophistication, knowledge and experience. When unified with the modern type choices, colour palette and strong photography it paints a picture of a modern financial powerhouse with a gravitas of a top tier organisation. The clearly defined sections and colours work to distinguish the business units while the photography shows the people and relationships behind the business. This is all combined with a strong and unified brand message that reinforces the businesses objectives.
The report clearly showed their distinctive business units and communicated their business direction for the coming year, while portraying the brand in a modern and powerful visual style. The annual report helped to position Austbrokers Holdings as a top tier financial institution.
