Rebranding a key recruitment provider for the future



Six Degrees Executive is a specialist search consultancy, focused on the recruitment of mid-level to executive professionals across multiple industries. The business over the past 10 years have immersed themselves to become experts within the industries they operate to better understand client and candidate needs.


The Challenge

They needed a clear definition and strategy to articulate what Six Degrees brings to the area of executive recruitment in each specialisation and strategic reasoning on whether they should create individual sub-brands for the specialisation or continue with a master brand approach.


The Strategy

The brand strategy unveiled a deep passion within the team to fully immerse themselves into the industries they operate in and this was a key driver for the business. They have the ability to go deep, to unearth talent and shape futures for both themselves and the clients and candidates they work for.

Going deep was a strong theme which not only spoke to the level of understanding within the industry but also the deep relationships they build and thorough understanding of their candidates and clients needs that set them apart.


The Design Solution

The brand had become outdated, there were legibility issues and once the strategy was defined, there was a disconnect with the visual identity. We needed to bring the brand personality of Spirited, Modern, Real and Leader to life through a flexible identity system. We developed modern icon to create the ‘Six’ using multifaceted elements, representing the multiple industries they operate in with an accompanying visual language stemming from the mark, highlighting the connections Six Degrees maintain within each community and industry they operate in.

The modern palette and friendly font brings a new energy and modernity to the brand which both reinvigorates the brand but also maintains a level of professionalism that’s required of the industries they operate in.



The Results 

The refreshed identity and defined strategy has modernised the brand, positioning them at the centre of the industries they operate within.
