AGDA’s Design Means Business Series
A series of events aimed at providing insight and inspiration into the business side of Design. The events are focused on providing experiences, seminars, case studies and thought leadership insights, through which designers can develop their business knowledge and practice. The events are primarily aimed at design business owners – whether they have just started up, or if they are a 20+ year veteran, with some events are also aimed at graduates and designers looking to start their own practice.
Wednesday 13 July – Five
Four design business owners are invited to discuss the last 5 years of their design business, and how they are gearing up for the next 5 years. They will discuss the learning’s gleamed from successes and failures, as well as some of the challenges they believe they will face in the future. The design owners will vary in background and experiences as well as time spent in their own design practice. Following the presentations, they’ll form a Q&A panel to be hosted by our MC with a focus focus on the future – what they may be facing and how will they deal with it.
The presenters will include; David Ansett: Director and Founder of Truly Deeply, Andrew O’Keefe : Director at Studio Alto, and Rhys Gorgol, Creative Director at The Company You Keep.
Audience:
Anyone interested in starting their own design business or looking to improve their current one. This event targets Senior through to MD level.
